Warner Bros released Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice in March 2016. Upon its debut in the theater, the movie received massive recognition from DC Comic fans.
Zack Synder as the director, made Dawn of Justice the sequel of his previous work, Man of Steel, which relies heavily on Superman’s story.
Dawn of Justice gets more interesting because it doesn’t only feature Superman and Batman but also other superheroes such as Wonder Women, The Flash, and Aquaman.
Meanwhile, several actors that play roles in the movie are Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Scott McNarry.
Plot
The movie offers an anti-mainstream conflict between two superheroes, the dark knight and the man of steel. While at the same time, they had to face a greater danger from the real enemy.
The real enemy that threatened the whole world was no other than Superman’s enemy, Lex Luthor, and his subordinates Morgan Edge and David Cain.
A plot twist happened at the movie’s end where Superman sacrificed himself while battling against Doomsday, a monster created by Lex Luthor. Superman got stabbed by a kryptonite spear while attacking Doomsday with the same weapon.
Sales
Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice generated more than $872 million from the worldwide box office. While domestic DVD sales got more than $23 million and domestic Blu-ray sales got more than $58 million worldwide.
