Trees are great additions to any landscape needing some greenery. They’re also great for the environment. We’ve seen and heard experts and activists encourage planting more trees to help our environment, so what reason is there to remove one?
Despite popular belief, even trees sometimes need to be removed. Even though we put a lot of effort into keeping trees happy and healthy, there comes a time when a tree will need to be removed.
Dead Trees
When a tree is dead, it slowly starts to lose strength and will have the potential to fall. This is dangerous during stormy seasons because a falling tree can cause fatal results. So, you should remove a dead or dying tree as soon as possible.
Diseased Tree
Trees can get sick, just like us. It’s hard to know if a tree has a disease or not only by looking at it. The bad news is that once a tree is diseased, it’s often too late to save it, and you should remove it immediately to prevent it from infecting other trees. So, if you suspect your tree is diseased, then you must have it assessed.
Storm Damaged Trees
Trees might seem durable. However, when lightning hits a tree, it can become permanently damaged and will require removal.
Encroaching Trees
Trees are lovely additions to roads and houses, but a trim might not do the job when it grows at an alarming rate. If a tree grows near your home’s foundation, leaning on a fence, or if it gets in the way of power lines, you should remove it to prevent constant maintenance.
These are just a few reasons why trees sometimes need to be removed. Whether it’s disturbing your view or potentially dangerous, tree removals might benefit the community or your home.
