What’s Next? Post-Pandemic Predictions
Since COVID-19 was declared a pandemic in March 2020, the world faced the most significant challenge in a century. Time stood still, and the world went into lockdown in a swift motion.
People couldn’t get too close to each other—no gatherings, no parties, no fun, at all. The 6-feet distance became an unspoken rule, and public scrutiny was the punishment for those who broke it. Still, nobody expected the threat to be so enormous that it turned the world upside down.
Frankly, the year 2020 is perhaps the worst year ever. There was nothing good to come out of it, but what good would it do to sulk in all the negativity?
One thing kept us going: the future
What’s Next?
We are still unsure what’s going to happen in the future. After all, this global pandemic hit us like a truck. There’s no stopping at this point. We should move on and adapt to the current situation.
However, lucky ones can count some blessings amid this disastrous pandemic. Yet, we don’t realize this presence despite how blatantly obvious it is.
We’re going to summarize two of those many blessings happening around us that have surged dramatically amidst this situation.
1. e-Learning Time
Now that schools are closed, the only way to continue studying is by attending an online class. Online classes might not be as fun as having schoolmates around you, but it’s still better than nothing. Can you imagine telling your teacher that your dog ate your homework before? It didn’t sound convincing before, but today, you can probably show it from your webcam.
2. The Rising of Online Businesses
When people are reluctant to go out to do some groceries, it’s time for online businesses to rise and shine. Online businesses expect to see an 18% growth during the pandemic and a solid 68% of recurring online customers even after the pandemic. The lack of grocery shoppers out there is a big chance for everyone to start an online business as it faces a bright future from now on. Not to mention, the need to finish dairy supplies as quickly as possible.
3. The Ubiquity of Remote Working
With the pandemic breaking borders at the workplace, remote working won’t just be optional. Companies all around the world are making remote working one of their perks to access a broader talent pool. For those who have been working on the go for a while, they’ll need to level up their gear and consider investing in reliable technology such as a dedicated server.
Despite the pandemic, some good things came out of it. To sum it up, we created a handy infographic of what we can expect from this global pandemic in the future.
